Specifying the location of the Add Symbol button

When preparing to use the textual work instructions feature, you must determine in advance whether to enable adding symbols in standard text elements (in the Standard Text view by the librarian) or instead to textual work instructions (in the Textual Work Instructions view by the planner). This decision is applicable to all users of the feature. You cannot add symbols in both locations.

• Add a symbol to the standard text element in the Standard Text view. You subsequently add the standard text element to the work instruction.

• Add a symbol directly to the work instruction in the Textual Work Instructions view.

The position of this button is defined in the MEWiEnableAddSymbolCommand preference. The valid values for this preference are STXView or TWIView.
