Source BOM to target BOM assignment status icons

Source BOM to target BOM assignment status icons indicate matches and mismatches between a source and target structure, such as an EBOM and an MBOM.

When you assign parts or assembly elements from a source bill of materials (BOM) to a target BOM, assignment indication icons are displayed in the Assignment State columns of the applicable panels. These icons indicate assignment statuses and help you to locate and correct problem elements in the target BOM. Orange icons that are displayed in the Mismatch column of the target BOM indicate mismatch details; those displayed in the Mismatch column of the source BOM often indicate that an element is missing or contains assignments with different revisions. Once you find problems, locate them in the BOMs, and correct them, the error icons are no longer displayed in the target BOM.

• The source BOM is not visible on the Manage Plant BOM View page.

• If you are working on the BOM Alignment page, you can quickly find problem source BOM elements in the target BOM by clicking the element's Assignment State icon in the left column of the source structure so that the target BOM structure is highlighted. If multiple problems exist under the element (for example, 12 of 20 rivets from the source BOM are assigned to one part and 6 of 20 are assigned to another in the target BOM, resulting in a negative sum of 18 of 20 required rivets), you must correct them individually. In a similar way, you can find an assigned element in the source BOM from the target BOM on the BOM Alignment page.

	All selected source BOM element's children are fully assigned to the target BOM.
	The source BOM element is fully assigned to the target BOM. Click the icon to jump to the target BOM area in the current scope and highlight the element in the target BOM panel.
	Some children of the selected EBOM are assigned to the MBOM, but not all.
	A partial quantity is assigned to the target BOM element from the selected source BOM element.
	The MBOM element has a different revision of the part assigned to it.
	Contains parts assigned to the target BOM with a different revision.
	The selected element is assigned to the MBOM multiple times.
	Some descendants of the selected element are assigned to the target BOM, and some are assigned multiple times.
	The selected element is completely assigned to the target BOM multiple times.
	The element was deleted from the source BOM after it was allocated to the target BOM. This is a missing-in-source error.
