Managing bills of equipment > Managing tool design packages
Export a tool design package
Procedure
Select the tool design study and choose File→Tools→Export→To PLM XML.
In the Export Directory box, select the directory in which to place the PLM XML file. Click Browse to locate the directory.
In the PLM XML Export dialog box, select the ToolDesignPackageExport transfer mode from the list.
This transfer mode exports the contents of the tool design package, including the in-context forms that are processed to modify the BOM line transforms of the welds. The content includes the XML file along with part files in subdirectories.
(Optional) Click Select Languages to display the Language Selection dialog box for the languages configured at your site.
(Optional) Select Open PLM XML File to view the file when the export operation is complete.
(Optional) Select the Perform Export In Background check box to perform an asynchronous export.
Click OK to export the objects in the Object List list and close the dialog box.
When the export completes, a dialog box is displayed. If the export was successful, click Yes in the dialog box to view the log file for the export. If there were errors during the export, the dialog box lists the errors. Click Yes to view information on the errors that occurred.
