Managing the enterprise BOP > Synchronizing plant BOP and BOE structures

Remove obsolete elements

If elements have been deleted from the plant BOP and you want to reflect the changes in the BOE, you do that by selecting the Remove Obsolete option at the time of synchronization. Selecting Remove Obsolete will remove an unlinked element from both structures.

In the following example, first consider the BOE and plant BOP structures below.

In the plant BOP structure, 000083/A;1-line2 is unlinked or it was manually deleted from the BOE.

If you select the root of the BOE structure and perform a synchronize using the Remove Obsolete option, it will remove 000083/A;1-line2.

Results after the synchronization operation.

To remove obsoleted elements, do the following:

Procedure

  1. Load the structure and select the element to remove.

  2. Right-click the element and choose Synchronize Process and Plant→Remove Obsolete

The element is removed from the structure.
