TcMA tools for Process Simulate > Resource Search viewer

Insert resources from a local resource library

You can search for and add resources from local resource libraries in Process Simulate. Searching in a local resource library is efficient because your search is limited to a list of approved resources for a project and the results list is much shorter.

Local resource libraries support both classified and unclassified resources.

Prerequisites

Before you use this feature, a system administrator must define the local resource library, populate it with resources, and save the library in a collaboration context.

You must also set values for the following preferences:

  • TCMA_LocalResourceLibrarySearch_ResourceTypes—Defines the resource types supported for a local resource library search. By default, this preference value is set to allow all out-of-the-box resource types. You can leave this preference value set to the default, or edit it to exclude specific resource types.

  • TCMA_LocalResourceLibraryGrid_Column—Specifies which data columns are displayed in the Local Resource Library Search tab. Set this preference value to Mfg0BvrLocalResourceLibrary.object_string.280 and Mfg0BvrLocalResourceLibrary.bl_item_object_type.50.

  • Mfg0MEResourceRevision.tcmaSearchLocation.tcmaLocalResourceLibrary.SUMMARYRENDERING—Determines which properties are displayed in the Overview panel when a resource is selected. Set this preference value to Mfg0MEResourceRevisionSummary.

See the Local resource library search preferences section in the Easy Plan — Deployment and Administration documentation for a description of these preferences and how to set them.
