Review a change notice
Using the change tracker, you can review the details of change notices for item revisions that appear in that change notice's Solution Items folder in My Teamcenter.
Note
You can also track structure changes using the change tracker.
Procedure
(Optional) Open the MBOM or BOP that contains lines that are modified by the change notice you want to review and select the change notice that you want to review.
Choose Tools→Change Tracker.
The Change Tracker dialog box opens with the Search by change notice option selected by default. If you completed step 1, your change notice appears in the Change Notice box.
- If you did not complete step 1, click , and in the Search Change Notice dialog box, locate and select the change notice you want to review and click Finish.
In the Change Tracker dialog box, your change notice appears in the Change Notice box.
- Click Finish.
The change tracker results view is displayed, with any lines in the change notice's Solutions folder displayed at the top. Revisions that are found in the MBOM or BOP are displayed in blue.
Note You can view additional change notice search criteria, including the change notice owner, status, and effectivity, by clicking . If a line does not show a blue underline, details may be unavailable. This result occurs if a revision is:
Configured out from the structure.
Configured elsewhere in the structure.
Outside the search scope.
Set in another structure.
- Select a line.
If you select a line with a previous revision (for example, 001225/B), the Is line displays the most current revision and the Was line displays the previous revision. This area lets you review revision status and effectivity. If you select a line with no previous revision (for example, 001229/A), there is no Was line.
Other changes are displayed at the bottom of the dialog box.
In this example, the Modifications value Add indicates that in BOM line 001225/B, new operation 001229 was added. In BOM line 001228/A, a Find No. was changed from a value of 10 to 15 in the operation.
