Resequence operations assigned to a process resource in the BOP

    tree

You can move operations assigned to a process resource in the bill of process (BOP) tree. For example, you can move operations either to place them in a different process resource, or to resequence the order in which the operations are performed in a process resource.

The Copy and Paste commands are available, respectively, from the BOM and BOP toolbars. In Easy Plan, the ability to drag files or objects to other objects works the same way as it does in other applications. For more details on resequencing and moving elements, see Rules for cloning, moving, and resequencing objects in the BOM or the BOP.

Note

When you resequence an operation, all part and resource references assigned to it move with that operation.

Prerequisites

You must have write access to the work package, process resource, and the operations you want to move.

Procedure

  1. If you have not done so already, search for and open an existing work package that contains processes and parts and navigate to the Process Planning page.

  2. In the Process tab or panel, select one or more operations and in the Process toolbar, click Show Menu → Cut , and do one of the following.
To move operations within a current process resource, select another operation under the process resource and click Show Menu → Paste → → Paste Before or Paste After. To move operations to a different process resource, select the process resource into which you want to move the operations and click Show Menu → Paste → → Paste Into.

    Caution

If you select and move multiple operations, all operations you select must have the same direct parent. For example, if you select multiple operations to resequence, all operations must belong to the same process station.

Note Paste Into is listed as an option only when you select a process into which to move an operation. A process can be a process, a process resource, or a process station.
